AVH Surgical Associates is pleased to welcome Thomas W. Rock, MD, FAAOS, Orthopaedic Surgeon. Dr. Rock joins us from Orthopedic Professional Association, a department of Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, from which he was employed since 1983. He was also affiliated with Franklin Regional Hospital.
In 1978, Dr. Rock earned his M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School. He completed Surgery and Orthopedic Residencies at Yale-New Haven Hospital from 1978 - 1983. His Bachelor of Science degree was awarded from the College of Holy Cross in 1974.
Dr. Rock is certifiedby the National Board of Medical Examiners and was recently re-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. (He has been certified since 1987.) He is also a Fellow of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and of the American Medical Association, New Hampshire State Orthopaedic Society, Eastern Orthopaedic Association and Northeast Medical Association (NEMA).
During his practice, Dr. Rock has specialized in joint replacement while continuing to provide orthopaedic trauma services and upper extremity surgery including mini- repair of the rotator cuff.
