Heart and Lung disease is a serious health problem in America today, but at Androscoggin Valley Hospital we’re doing all we can to prevent and treat it. Our Cardiopulmonary Service staff is committed to helping patients live longer, healthier lives by providing comprehensive, individualized services, including:
- Adult cardiology, including on-site consulting cardiology care from board certified cardiologists at NEHI/Catholic Medical Center
- Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
- Smoking cessation program
- Sleep medicine consultations from a board certified sleep medicine physician

Meet our Full-Time Cardiology Practitioner
The New England Heart Institute at AVH is pleased to welcome Dr. Daniel van Buren, Medical Director of Cardiology and full time cardiologist, to its staff in Berlin. Recognized as a Distinguished Scholar (first in his graduating class) at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, W.I., Dr. van Buren is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.
