With obesity on the rise and fewer Americans engaging in daily exercise, diabetes is fast becoming a national epidemic. Here in New Hampshire, about 84,500 adults are living with Type I or Type II diabetes.

Our goal is to help patients take control of their diabetes so that complications such as heart disease, stroke, blindness and amputations may be successfully avoided. Diabetes Community ProgramsDiabetes Education ProgramPatients will receive information on diabetes facts, medications, insulin, creative meal planning, dining out, exercise, cautions and complications and blood glucose monitoring. Free Monthly Diabetes Presentations AVH is proud to offer free programs on diabetes-related topics each month. These meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30 PM to 8 PM in the AVH Lecture Room. Presentations are open to the public and refreshments are served.
