ORTHOPAEDIC PHYSICAN ASSISTANT
Part- or full-time (4 or 5 days/week) orthopaedic physician assistant (PA) needed for traditional, growing orthopaedic practice. Join three employed orthopaedic surgeons and one PA. Primary duties will be in office setting, seeing new patients, established patients, pre-op H&P, postop patients; performing joint injections; splinting and casting; and helping orthopaedic surgeons with patient care. Some time also devoted to inpatient rounding and consultations, surgical assisting, and on call (optional). Anticipate 2 days/week at AVH in Berlin and 3 days/week at outreach clinic in Colebrook. Integrated ambulatory and hospital EMR with CPOE and voice recognition/templates available for document creation. In-office and remote access to PACS system from AVH and Colebrook site. Orthopaedic experience preferred but not required.
Full-time position available. Primary responsibilities involve screening and initiating options for patients prior to major
services or procedures for high patient liability. Also works with attorneys and probate court to submit patient unpaid balances
for possible collection. Excellent people skills required, as this position involves frequent contact with the public, providers and other staff. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Computer skills required.
Per diem position available, working as needed. Primary responsibilities involve a variety of tasks related to food
handling, working on the patient tray line, maintaining supplies in the Cafeteria/kitchen area, dishwashing and cleaning.
Temporary position available, working 32 hours per week. Obtains venous and capillary blood specimens from patients.
Completes paperwork necessary to process specimens.
Full-time position available. Primary responsibilities involve the administration of the coding workflow, ensuring all records are coded and abstracted within required Standards. Accredited record technician with AHIMA certification, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P.
